Assistant Lab Technician – Diagnostic Centre – DMLT/BMLT Required

HR Service Jobs is hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Lab Technician to join our reputable Diagnostic Centre. The ideal candidate must possess a DMLT/BMLT qualification and should be capable of supporting routine lab procedures with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and label patient specimens (blood, urine, swabs, etc.) in accordance with medical standards.

  • Assist in preparing and processing samples for testing under the supervision of a senior lab technician or pathologist.

  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, microscopes, and analyzers.

  • Maintain accurate and organized patient and test records in digital or manual formats.

  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of biological samples as per safety protocols.

  • Follow strict hygiene, biosafety, and infection control procedures.

  • Support in quality control checks and calibration of lab instruments.

  • Communicate test results promptly and correctly to authorized medical personnel.

  • Maintain inventory and report stock shortages of laboratory supplies.

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and continual lab improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT – Mandatory)

  • Strong understanding of clinical laboratory procedures and safety protocols

  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and lab software use

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

  • Ability to handle biological samples with care and professionalism

Experience

  • Freshers with DMLT/BMLT are welcome to apply

  • 0–2 years of hands-on experience in a clinical laboratory or diagnostic centre preferred

Working Hours

  • Full-Time | 6 Days a Week

  • Rotational Shifts (Morning & Evening)

  • Sunday/Holiday shifts may be required based on operational needs

  • Flexible working hours for urgent diagnostic support

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with standard laboratory testing protocols and instruments

  • Basic understanding of pathology, microbiology, and biochemistry labs
