ICU Technician – Multi-specialty Hospital – 1 Year Experience Needed
Job Summary
HR Service Jobs is hiring a skilled ICU Technician for placement at a leading multi-specialty hospital. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals with prior ICU experience who are passionate about delivering critical care support to patients in life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate will work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff to monitor vital signs, operate advanced ICU equipment, and provide round-the-clock technical support in intensive care settings.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the management of critically ill patients under the supervision of ICU doctors and nurses.
Monitor and record patients vital signs, oxygen saturation, and other clinical parameters.
Operate and maintain ICU-specific equipment such as ventilators, defibrillators, suction devices, and infusion pumps.
Prepare ICU beds and ensure all required medical equipment is sanitized and functional.
Provide emergency support during resuscitation or code blue situations.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient updates, and technical records.
Assist in the setup and management of central lines, arterial lines, and other invasive procedures.
Ensure compliance with hospital safety and infection control protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Diploma in ICU Technology, Critical Care, or related paramedical field from a recognized institute.
Strong knowledge of ICU equipment handling and emergency response protocols.
Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
Ability to work under high-stress conditions with a calm and focused demeanor.
Good interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with the medical team.
Computer literacy for recording patient information and report generation.
Experience
Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as an ICU Technician in a hospital or critical care unit is mandatory.
Working Hours
Rotational shifts: Morning, Evening, and Night shifts (8–12 hours)
Weekend and holiday duties as per the ICU roster
Emergency on-call availability may be required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In-depth understanding of critical care procedures and ICU patient monitoring.
Practical knowledge of operating life-support systems and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions.
Awareness of patient safety, emergency codes, and clinical cleanliness standards.
Ability to remain attentive to detail and make quick, accurate decisions in emergency situations.
Strong physical stamina and mental resilience for continuous ICU support.
